The only con I have, which isn't really a con, is that they are pricey. I paid $81 simply for the unscheduled walk-in. When you schedule, it is $50. But you are paying for the general examination of your pet, and they do a thorough job. I don't think this is a con because you can tell the staff and the experienced doctors work hard to find the root cause of the problem AND cure any symptoms. So I think my money is well spent. They did a great job, they also have an amazing atmosphere. It's not a small, white, or dirty clinic. It feels like a house. There's seating everywhere, a kids play pen (could use a washing) and I enjoy that there are two different doors for dogs and cats. Most places don't have that. Anyway, I am pleased with the service. I will be back.

Top it all off with the fact that she couldn’t even be bothered to offer an apology for her “mistake.” Disappointed that she still has a job there and could put other animals in unnecessary pain like she did to ours.

I am a pretty good judge of character. This was my first time visiting Mountain View Animal Hospital. My cat kept scratching at her chin until it opened a wound. It was only that spot, so most likely not fleas... I had the pleasure with speaking with Dr. Jennifer. She took a sample of the wound and was able to diagnose the exact bacterial infection. (Staff infection) The previous vet I went to diagnosed it as, "some kind of skin irritation". She also gave me some preventative measures that might have caused the infection. We think it's an allergy to plastic. The last vet just gave me some salve and told me to apply it on her 2-3 times a day, without telling me a possible cause. They also gave me a hard plastic cone for my cat (since we don't want her scratching it) which freaked my cat out. Mountain view gave me a soft cone and it better suits my cat. That small gesture means a lot to me. I want to find out the root cause, and not just cure the symptom because then it will be back again. (Duh!) I want to make sure the vet cares for my animal's comfort, and that is where Mountain View exceeds.

Response to owner:

Beware of Sally Stevenson! We brought our dog in for routine dental and cytology work. Unbeknownst to us, Sally told our vet to remove 4 benign tumors from our elderly dog. Mind you, she is not a vet or a vet tech, nor did she ever discuss this with us or the vet. She’s the office manager - not someone who should have any authority to determine what happens to people’s pets.

I always receive great service and advice for my Simba here. These guys are excellent and I recommend them to anyone looking for a new veterinary clinic.

We had a 2:30 appointment, showed up on time. They told us they didn't have us scheduled until 3.30. I showed them the confirmation email I got that clearly stated our appointment was at 2:30. They told us there may be a small wait but could get us in. After waiting for 40 min in the waiting room, I asked if they were going to be able to get us in sometime soon because we had other plans that day. She said yes, said she would go check in with the vets. After another 15 minutes of waiting ( nearly an hour long wait total) we left. Mind you, no customers were waiting in the lobby when we left. There was no one there waiting when when we got there. One customer came in behind us, but needless to say after visiting this office for many years.... it was the slowest Ive ever seen it. Unfortunately, we will not be back. The front desk workers were very unapologetic and handled the situation with lack of care for us.

You are right, we have been a loyal client for the past 5-6 years. You have my contact information. If you wanted to make it right, you could have easily contacted me.

She left the information via post-it note on top of our signed paperwork with a nearly thousand dollar price tag she claimed we approved. Our dog is now battling an infection and has at least two weeks recovery time for a surgery she didn’t need. What should have been a simple day at the vet has turned into a nightmare.

Mountain view is by far the best pet facility I have taken my girls to. The Dr's make sure that you have all of your questions and concerns answered before you leave. I have been to other veterinarians and with out a doubt Mountain view has been the best. I highly recommend them to anyone needs an awesome vet. Every Dr that I have seen there has been nothing less than totally awesome. My daughter was the one who recommended them and I thank God she did.
