My wife was in a car accident a week ago, she has not been feeling herself. She called Dr. Hoffman's office to get an appointment and was told to go see a chiropractor. The receptionist didn't care that she was calling to be seen. My wife ended up calling the next day because he stomach is still hurting her from the accident, she had a bowel movement and it was all blood. She is foggy and not all there at times. The receptionist this time was hesitant to make an appointment for her. She told my wife that those symptoms were not related to the car accident. She told the lady that she just wanted to be seen. The receptionist proceeded to tell her that it would cost her allot of money to be seen, (It felt like she was trying to get my wife to say okay, I'll just tough it out.) she then went on to tell her she would need to bring in her car insurance information. I was getting frustrated listening to the conversation (yes she had it on speaker so I could hear). My wife was able to get an appointment to be seen, but after talking with her I felt she would not get the care she needed. Is the receptionist a nurse or a doctor no, so for her to tell her that those symptoms could not be related is not her job. My wife called to cancel the appointment, she told the receptionist why and the receptionist got mad and uptight about it and kept telling my wife to wow! over and over. You don't do that. This is not a place to go and I beyond upset on how my wife was treated.I will never go back to this clinic or this Doctor do to his staff and a receptionist feeling she can tell patients what they have or not have over the phone.
